Thanks, MouseField.

The grandkids have already been playing with it - FEL and BH. They are used to riding around on the JD L130 lawn tractor (not cutting), but I won't let them on a moving Kioti - too dangerous!!

Regards

We don't have kids but I make sure I always lower my FEL to the ground and also my backhoe if I haven't secured it. Removing the key if you are not around would also be a good idea. You do not want a child at the controls with FEL or backhoe up (not secured) and someone below them. I'm sure you are carefull but it only takes one small thing to have something real bad happen. Have a happy and safe use of the tracor with your family.

I learned my lesson about kids and tractors, I had an old Chinese tractor that had poor Backhoe hydraulics and I used to let my 6 yr old grandson dig a little while sitting on my lap no problem. When I got a new 20HST with 2465 BH I did the same thing, well don't you know, he pushed that lever forward, the bucket hit the ground and the back of the tractor came right off the ground. Scared the patooties out of him and me. No real harm done, but the kids now stay away when granpa is on the tractor.

I do the same, I never leave my bucket or hoe up or any implement up for that matter when the tractor is not running, I'm afraid the mini-boss will drop something on herself (god forbid).
