Just bought this planter for the BX. I was initially concerned that the BX would provide enough lift height, but as you can see from the photos, it does.

This is my first post with attachments so hopefully I've done this correctly.

That sure looks good, even that color. What are you planting with it, and do you need a row marker? The weather here is warming up and makes me want to get in the dirt, but it's still mud, getting anxious to get something growing.
Keep us updated, w/pics of course, I'd like to see it working .
Is that one of the Harbor Freight hitches, seems to fit good, just don't get a hand or finger between the toplink and the hitch when you raise it.:eek:

That little Kubota is a great looking tractor. Looks even better with the pretty colored implement. That what you would call a mixed breed?

Is the implement new? It looks moldy... :)

Nice looking setup!

What are you "breaking the ground" with on the BX - tiller or plow/disk/drag?

I'll be planting corn and sunflowers with it as soon as things dry out here. My sweet corn patch isn't that long +/- 200 feet, so I hope I can keep the row spacing without a marker.

It is the Harbor Freight quick hitch. I've had none of the attachment problems that some of the other posters have had. And....the planter is REALLY heavy so I'm glad I don't have to wrestle with it while attaching.

Fortunately this year I'm going into an area that has already been prepared for row crops. So a disc/tiller/etc will be on the wish list for next year.

I bought this from willy-bobber on ebay for $960. It's a JD Flexi-71 planter which, I assume, is modified and restored from older, larger planters. He modified the three point attachment for smaller compact tractors.

There are several models for sale, both one-row and two-row, on ebay.

I had tried finding a planter from local implement dealerships in my area. No one had any used units but all wish they did. One dealer offered me a new one-row Yetter (which is who makes the JD model now), but it was quite a bit more expensive.

Hi;

Thanx I guess that explains why search have never stumbled across similar think you made a good deal (other than being unripe in color!)
