Buying Advice New B3030 cab Experience and Fender Extenders

Well, I've been a long time Kubota fan and had my B2710 for close to 11 years. I received my B3030 cab yesterday and within three hours returned it to the dealer. The dealer didn't take the time to properly setup the mid mount mower and it developed a hydraulic leak on the block supplying the front end loader. I'm not down on Kubota but not impressed by the dealer, especially since I have purchased my RTV 900 from him without a problem. I also ordered the fender extenders and will post a picture when I get the tractor back. I wasn't impressed however with them at all. They basically are two plastic mud flaps that go onto the sweep of the fenders. For me it's too many holes in the fender to mount and the screw heads are just allen bolts with no covers. Another surprise that I ran into was that the 72 inch mid mount mower requires a special bracket to lock it into the up position. When I questioned that parts were missing the dealer made me aware that I needed to order theses parts. Due to my pissed off nature they agreed to pay for the parts free of charge. I also had to mow yesterday with my old tractor that I requested the dealer immediately return when the 3030 flopped. Close to just cancelling the deal and keeping my old tractor. My wife is trying to talk me off the ledge. Pictures to come, maybe!

What a shame. Sorry to hear that the dealer isn't being as thorough as they should. The buyiing sometimes is the easy part. Getting a good delivery is the tough part. Good luck, hope they take care of you.

Sorry to hear of your problem. Do you think the dealer is just outright lame, or is there a chance someone cut some corners because it's their busy season and they are backed up right now? That's not an excuse, but it might make a difference in what you can expect going forward. Hope they get the new one back to you pronto and in good shape.

Sorry to hear that you have a few bugs to work out with your new tractor. Sometimes it happens . I've never even seen the fender extensions...... so I look forward to your pictures. If you don't like the original hardware, some nice stainless botton-head allen bolts would be easy enough to swap in. If the extra brackets were needed for the mower, your salesman should have mentioned that to you up front. I'm sure once the small issues are ironed out, you will love your 3030.

I guess when you consider all the options that a dealer can sell on anything they do sell, it is less surprising that sometimes mistakes are made. I sure hope you get things ironed out, and start putting some seat time in the new ride. I too think that you will like it more, and more as you use it.

I feel your pain.. a few days after my BX was delivered a hydraulic leak at the block started. After two attempts they fixed it. After that I found my front axle to be 1 qt shy on fluid. Minor things, but frustrating for the first 5 hrs. At ten hours when I did my first greasing of the loader I found one of the zerks, joystick side top, the easiest one to get to, had never been greased. I felt the dealer should have been more thorough, and was disapointed in them, but this is all stuff I should have checked and didn't. Luckily it's all water under the bridge as it was all fixed, and I love my machine. We are all human, and miss stuff, regardless of how much or little we try. In my business I figure we are only as good as our worst employee on their worst day. Pesimistic a little, but no one on my crew wants to be that guy. I'll fire them and get qualified help. Mistakes happen, and you as well as me got to be the guy they happen to this time. Luckily for me in the end it didn't diminish my love for my tractor, just took a few extra hours to get there. Hope it all works out.

On my recent B3030 purchase I started to wonder about my dealer also, but they finally got it set up just as I wanted, after getting it home and using it I noticed some problems that needed fixed, nothing serious, but needed done. I took it back and they fixed eveything that I noted no questions asked. One thing I noticed when I took it back and picked it up was that they were busy as h***, phones and people both. I guess it just took some patience on my end. Since getting it back it has been a great machine. Hope everything works out for you also, good luck.

Hope they work out all the bugs. Can you post some pic of the fender extenders. I can not find any pic, dealer didn't even have them. I did want to buy them without see them first.

I got my tractor back and a huge apology from my dealer. They are very busy right now and some things were missed. They made up for it by throwing in some freebies and I really appreciate that. As for the tractor, I love it again!! Here are the pictures of the fender extenders. They actually didn't turn out too bad. They are more sturdy than I thought and look pretty good. They also completely cover the tire tread, so going through the mud won't be an issue.
