First off, thanks to all of you that offered some advice and answered what may have been "odd" questions regarding my purchase of a new B3030 Kubota.
They were finally able to deliver the tractor last week, despite having to drive 150 miles (50 miles with chains on) thru a heavy snow. I had the tractor delivered to a cabin I own in the mountains and that is where I intend to keep it.
I ended up getting a B3030 with:
Kubota LA403 loader and an ATI grapple and Tooth Bar
Wade Chain Box
Kubota Quick Attach
Kubota Pallet Fork
Woods BH80-X Back Hoe with Thumb
Woods Rear Blade
Block Heater
I had some fun moving a little bit of snow around, but am still getting used to it. I did have problems trying to move snow with the FEL in Float. The tractor kept trying to ride up over the bucket. It didnt seem to make much difference as to whether the bucket was angled up or down. Other than that, I had a great time getting my first few hours of "seat" time.
Unfortunately, we have to go to Hawaii for a week of grueling meetings, and as hard as it is to believe, I am quite sure my mind will be back in the mountains wishing I was moving snow.
Thanks again,
Friver
