the rack or basket that mounts to the top of the back of the rollcage should be done in a few days.i'll post some pictures of it too. but if anyone is interested in some rails i can hook you up.

Looks good Tommy. I had not thought of bed rails and obviously you are the only one who has because your's are the first I have seen. I will have to put that on my "Things to do to the Ranger when I get back from Iraq" list. I ordered a windshield and roof for it yesterday, but they ill not be in until I have already left.

you keep you but safe over there you hear!!!! you never know some rails might be wiatin for you when you get back. as for the idea i have been askin around about what people would like for thier hpx or gator or utv and i have been gettin some replys so i'm havin the stuff made maybe i can get a utv parts and accessories store goin.you gotta start some where.i seen them front racks that they make for the utv's. the ones that fit over the hood and they sellin them for right at 200.00 bucks man thats way to high. i think i can make them for about 120.00 maybe under.

Tommy, have you considered building some nerf bars for your Gator? They would be the same basic shape as the bed rails, just larger diameter and with mounts that would go under your floor area. A lot of guys that do some serious trail riding on their UTV's recommend them as the next thing to add after a front brush guard. I have the brush guard on mine, but I have not bit the $175 bullet for the nerf bars yet.

There is a site called Hunterworks.com that designs and builds add ons for Rhinis, Gators, and RTVs, but refuses to build anything for the Ranger. Polaris has a pretty good selection though.

not really the hpx is wide enough already. and i wouldn't want anything hanging lower because i go up some steap inclines to get out of and down into cross a ditch and comin out the pond. i usualy bottom out and it slides for a secon but as long as i got one tire on the ground to pull it a inch or two i'm ok.

i am almost finished with my rack or basket . my buddy had to work late a few days at work so he could do any work on it but this is what we got so for.

my son was standin on it he wieghs 78 ounds and the basket didn' even move so i know it can hold alot more
