Re: New \'bota soon!

oops - that was 18". pebcack! (Problem Exisits Between Chair And Keyboard). I'll try to get a picture today for comparison - though I like looking at the warm green version myself.

[No fancy graphics - yet] Restoring an old connected farm-house and barn and farmstead. This could take a while.

Re: New \'bota soon!

No pond yet - planning on one below the main barn but that's a few years away at this point. Attachment is a reality check picture - taken yesterday during virutal t-shirt weather.

Re: New \'bota soon!

Thomas, I'll probably list the Super-C in the Market Bulletin this spring. (for those of you from away, that's a state ag. newsletter that has all sorts of good stuff.)

Mine is a 1951, with the TPH attached to the rockshafts forward of the operator (Translation; you can lift the rear with the down-pressure, though I wouldn't advise it). The metal is good and the only thing I need to work on is the electrical, (still 6 volt pos. ground). Still thinking about what to ask for it. I'll take a picture of it next to the new 'bota - which is FINALLY arriving tomorrow!

Re: New \'bota soon!

Congrats on the new Bota. I just went through the same decission. I'm curious though about your problems with the NH loader. I Tested out the loader on a TC35d4 for 20minutes, granted I didn't push-up and stumps or move 10tons of dirt, but I worked he loader a though I was. I even dumped over a 7' chain link fence. I wonder if something was wrong with the loader on the TC40 you were driving?
I really liked the position and actuation of the loader control, the speed control on the joystick, the rear fuel tank and the 1800lbs loader lifting capacity. Those are some of the things that swayed my decision.
I agree with you on the swivel seat, and the view from the seat is awsome.
I'm sure you'll love your L, I loved my B.

Re: New \'bota soon!

Andy,
Another nice picture! That one looks more like it does here in MN/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif. I have to admit i like the green picture better though /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. Looks like you'll have plenty of use for your new tractor!

Re: New \'bota soon!

I thought my experience on the TC40D night have been a fluke, so I drove an hour up the road to another NH dealer. Same result. Both dealers admitted that the NH had the edge on loader power but that the Kubota had smoother action on the loader and HST. 'nother nice feature I'd like to see was the adjustable extensions on the NH 3point arms. STILL like the 3710 the best! T-21 hours and counting.

Re: New \'bota soon!

AndyR,

Congrats on the new bota! You'll find that you'll take on projet you never dreamed of before.

I can relate with your experience on the New Holland loader. I found the joystick pretty sensitive in the beginning, but by my third dirt project I was operating the loader and bucket harmoniously.... like a pro! Bought my TC-45D for all the reasons you mentioned. I liked the 3710, but the TC-45D suited me better. My experience with NH hydrostatic transmission is all positive, but I made sure it was set up to my liking. Now that I have 100 hour on it, everthing is operating very smooth.... including the operator!

Good luck and happy tractoring!
