New Box Blade Does Fit QH

I ordered a new box blade from everything attachments and it was delivered today. I was so excited to get it home and give it a try on several projects that have been waiting on it and wouldn稚 you know it, it doesn稚 fit my quick hitch! The lower connections are not far enough apart and the way the top is made, it won稚 go without removing the pin from the BB and even if I do that, there is an interference with some bolts on the QH and the top bracket on the BB. Other than those issues, the blade appears to be pretty well made but it is a big disappointment to me that I am going to have to cut and weld on something that is brand new.

How many others have had issues like this when they buy new toys? I suppose I could take the QH off and I would be fine but that defeats the whole purpose of having a quick hitch.

I might look at this differently than others since I made my living cutting and welding for a few years. I don't have any problem modifying something by welding on it or cutting something off if it makes it do what I want it to. If you aren't planning on changing out your quick hitch or stop using it, I say go ahead. Of course it's easy for me to say, sitting here on the couch .
