That round bar on the front is a great idea. I have an old piece of solid 3 by 3 steel (really heavy) am going to double it up and do the same thing you did.

good idea on the bumper weight, we all are always looking for ways to weight down the frontend, and with a nice wide front bumper you certainly will protect the front of the tractor , although I should mention though with the long protruding pole you will find that it will effect the ability to maneuver in reverse up close to things, when you are looking backwards while backing and turning you'll find limits on how close the tractor can get to things,;)
if ever you have the oportunity to score a pc of iron R/R track a small chunk of this weight very heavy and can also be used as front weight, I used a pc on the front of my Kubota only 20" and it weigh 175- 180 lbs, and workd very well for pushing over & up rooting small 3"dia. trees, before I sold the tractor I removed this and plan to keep it as what I started out using it for (an anvil),
But when the guy who bought the tractor started loading it onto his trailer and the frontend of the tractor started to lift I realized he needed it worst then I did :D so I give it to him,

Was trying to think what i could put up front without dropping a hunded dollars on suitcase weights. I came up with railroad track and weld on some plate to bolt up. Well i called a buddy that works at a chip mill and he said that all the peices they had were to long, but they did have a huge piece of round stock that he could use, i said that will work. He welded some angle iron to it and i bolted it right up, just from measuring an dgiving him the measurements, not pretty like he said but the price was right (free) and it gives me im guessing around 100lbs out front and also lays over trees etc while bushhogging. Its a little crooked, but i just bolted it up, theres some slop in the holes so i may be able to staighten it a little but again not for looks but weight. The round stock (have not measured it) but appears to be around 100lbs.

Good idea, great bumper, flat plate works great also, you might want to think about protecting your grill, I had a limb find its way through my grill and into my radiator, so I built this cool brushguard.

One of the secrets for a front-end weight are the old cultivators often seen at farm auctions. They would be the 10 or 12 ft long between-the-row cultivators. Around here no one wants them and I have seen them go for $20. Most are built really heavy and usually have a solid bar that the cultivator stuff mounts on.
I bought an old IH one that had a 3 inch square steel bar that was 10 ft long. I think it weighed over 30 lbs per foot. I used some to make a smaller cultivator and some is destined for a front-end weight.
