New BX2370, how many hours per tank?

I realize it depends on what you're doing at what RPM I suppose, but I just hit about 3.2 hours tonight and the fuel gauge still shows full. On average, how many hours can I expect per tankful? Thanks.

BTW, man I love this thing! I did my annual tree trimming today. Hauled the cut offs to the back of my property with the new dump trailer I picked up. Did what used to take me 6 hours and a lot of sweat in 2 hours and had fun doing it! :laughing:

My BX2660 is thirsty. My last B7510 would sip fuel, but this BX sucks it. Im betting I get 8 hours in cold full throttle snow operations, and 10 mowing at full throttle. Ill watch it. One thing is if you fill it to the cap, the gauge will read full for a long time, and then drop. Maybe your 2370 will be different, but my 2660 rumbles and shakes like its a D-9 Cat.

My new BX25D has IIRC 11.something hours on it now. And it is sitting at half a tank. Everything it has done I have put in the day in the life thread. There has been some joy riding here and there on it....took it to the neighbors to show off, others came over and we chatted a while before I thought....hay dummy turn this thing off. So it has not been "working" that entire time.

I am also one of those people that records price, MPG, Date of fill up on my cars....I expect I will do the same with this....it will be good to see its history.

Do you do a lot of shooting. I have done small bore for a few years now, CMP matches, PPC....you name it I have tried it at one time or another.

Most equipment is designed to hold 10 hours of working fuel. Every tractor, bobcat, i've ever operated held to this unwritten rule.

I believe my BX-25 has the same engine as yours. I think my BX is wonderful on diesel. I can probably run it all day, throttling up and down and stopping for lunch and breaks, and only use about one-half tank.

I was doing some major trenching with my BX24(same engine) backhoe 2 years ago... running 2800 rpm, I would go 2 days on a tank full. I'm retired, so 2 days is about 16 hours. :laughing:

Cherokee, yup, you could say I own a few guns, and rimfires are my favorite. I collect Ruger Single Sixes.
