I've got 14 hours on my tractor now and took it out to the retirement property to clear the fire breaks. Using the grapple and bus hog was a good days work. I need a little sage advice and wisdom though!

I imagine what I'm going through could be seen as new tractor user issues. In the Army we would have called it Operator Head Space and Timing when this type of screw-up happened...

After a day in the woods...

End result of picking up a Big oak tree - YES the tractor is on fairly level ground - You see when I first picked it up it didn't look that big... when 30 feet lifted up off the ground the front end kind of tweeked down on the right side. Didn't really notice it till I dropped the trunk off further into the woods and the bend down on the right was really visible

Thinking of a bigger hammer, I found a culvert and set the flat base of the grapple up on it and pushed it down to level the front. It did seem to help a lot but not wanting to really break something I backed off. Everything functions as normal, loader and grapple work fine, its just - kind of off..

Looking at the side of the loader frame nothing looks bent or out of place to my uneducated eye.

The other thing I found out is that even after setting up the bush hog and the stabilizers to limit side to side drift you can have issues... I assume I didn't tighten them down enough?

Since I didn't really like the configuration that came with the Kioti anyone got an idea and source where I can get two good replacements? YES I Lost BOTH stabilizers. Good ideas for replacements?

So far the tractor is running and working great. The operator, not so much.

I would take the grapple off and then look at the level of the loader arms.

As for the stabilizers: don't push with the 3ph. You will break something.

he solid bar stabilizers would help. Whatever stabilizer you use, you may have to wire them on because brush has a tendency to pull off lynch pins. I used bolts with nylocks wherever the points were fixed.

I agree with dropping the grapple and measuring your loader arms for level. I’m surprised it picked up 30’ of Oak tree myself.

Check your tire pressures, front and back. A low tire can give a list to the tractor.

Thanks for the replies.

With the tires the front are at 35 and the rear at 18. With the loader in the air it looks like it is sitting level.

I was surprised the tree was 30 feet! The Kioti didn't even strain at all, just picked her right up.

I trailered back to the house tonight, this week I'll drop the grapple and measure the loader arms to see if it is them or the grapple that are tweaked.

I understand about backing up into the 3 point - I'm going to have to learn how to avoid backing the brush hog. It's just so easy to cut and back-up to turn around. Time to lift before backing.

My NX5510 came with a crooked loader. Dealer got it and measured things. Found out it was welded incorrectly. If I were you, before messing any more with this I'd recommend contacting your dealer.

ANYTHING that you find that breaks or doesn't seem right, LET YOUR DEALER KNOW. The reason is that you want feedback given to the factory. I've also made suggestions (some of which have come from this site) and found them to appreciate them. You/I may not benefit, but a future customer might. By approaching things this way you hope that everyone improves: you want your dealer to stay in business (without you necessarily feeding them lots of money to repair things- you want them selling good machines). I just kind of say to my dealer, hey, take a look at such and such, just though that it would be good to let the rep know.

You will break things that will be your doing, that's to be expected. It's the things that you really had no real part in breaking, breaking, that you want to make sure that the dealer attends to.

My thread is at: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kioti-buying-pricing/369313-my-nx5510h.html (you can find my loader issue there, as well as others)
