Two months ago I sold my Bobcat CT225. It was a great tractor, but just a bit underpowered. After a lot of going back and forth about what I really needed/wanted, I pulled the trigger this afternoon. Arriving next week after Gary and the fellows at West End Sales get everything put together, is my new Kioti CK4010HST.
I loved the size of my Bobcat, it was easy to get in and out of the woods, but like I said, slightly underpowered. The CK4010 has a similar size footprint but can lift more and I am going from 19hp at the PTO to 33.5. I'm looking forward to getting the most out of my bush hog now.
I started to get a backhoe with it, but realistically, I would hardly use it and for the additional $6750, I can rent an excavator a whole bunch of times. Besides, I got to spend that money on the following:
telescopic lower link arms (it's no longer standard on the new CK series)
2 rear remotes and top and tilt cylinders.
electric over hydraulic 3rd function
root grapple
5' Bush Hog box blade
5' Bush Hog rotary cutter
6' Bush Hog finish mower
18' equipment trailer
Yeah, I'm looking forward to next week.:licking:
