I finally started to fix up the Super A to sell. I'm putting in a new clutch/pressure plate. I got the thing split and apart and discovered that the throw out bearing is different than the new one I have. The one that is on the tractor has two grease zerks and instead of a bearing it has some kind of plastic/phenelic resin thing that rides on the pressure plate fingers. The new throw out bearing is just that, a bearing. No housing or anything. Did I get the wrong part or is there an updated throw out bearing assembly? I would prefer to have the bearing instead of the plastic thing.
Also, when I split the thing I had to drain the hydraulic touch control system. The fluid was very clean, but I don't know what kind of fluid it was. My manual says to use "Touch Control Fluid" but it must be some kind of standard oil of some sort. Any guesses or answers out there would be greatly appreciated. The oil seems about as thick as engine oil, but has a slight smell of power steering or hydraulic fluid.
Thanks for your help!
