Last July I got a decent deal on a Ferguson 12-AO-40 2-bottom plow.

I found and downloaded the user manual and adjusted the coulters to the proper distance. The times I used it I had issues with roots and stems and stuff clogging the coulter, stem, and fork assembly. Then I found and downloaded a copy of the parts manual and did some measuring I found out that what originally a 15ス" coulter was down to about 11".
As many of you know original factory coulters for these old plows are few and far between. Finally, I found a company that would provide coulters with a custom cut center hole and bolt pattern for the hub assembly. I used a drill press to remove the original rivets from the hub assembly and got the old coulters out.
Then I ordered (from wearparts LLC) two 16" smooth double beveled coulters, P/N: CS084083. They cost $23.95 each plus $5 for the custom center hole and bolt pattern cutting and drilling. They also charge for shipping of course. You do have to create an account to put items in a shopping cart and to see prices. However, because I wanted a custom center hole and bolt pattern was email them with what I wanted including the size of the center hole and the pattern. They actually called me and discussed the order and were very helpful in the whole matter.
I finally got all the stuff together and decided to get them installed.
Here is the old coulter.

Here is the old coulter on top of the new coulter.

Front coulter.

Back coulter.

The plow with new coulters.

When things have dried up a bit I look forward to hooking up and turning over some soil for our garden.
