Kioti DK35SE HST
Looking for DK35SE HST owners to see how their machine has been performing. My unit arrives in a few days and I'm looking forward to many years of great performance. What typical things should I look for during the "break-in" period. Thanks to you all.

You will find that as you get more hours on the machine your power will increase. In my case it took about 150 hours before I noticed the change in power. You will also fine a "sweet spot" in rpm's that your engine will like to run. I found mine on my DK35 at 1900 to 2100 rpm's.

I don't know if all Kioti's are the same but when I did the 50 hour service the filter for the hydralics was a bear to remove, it looked like it had been installed before the frame was powder coated and I had to use a plumbers chain wrench to remove it. You'll also find that when you change that fluid, the replacement fluid will go in easilly for about 3 or 4 gallons, then the fluid will "burp"and spit out the fluid tube for the rest of the fill unless you pour very slowly.

All in all you'll be happy with this unit.

I have the same model and it has 41 hours on it- approaching the 50 hour first crucial service.
I suggest running it under different load conditions without pushing the envelope during break-in. Run at different rpms, but not to max output during break-in. Also, make sure all grease fittings are fully greased, sometimes some get missed by the selling dealer's shop. Read the owner's manual for the tractor and all implements too. And many suggest getting a copy of the service manual too- it is jam packed with worthwhile info.
What implements, if any do you have on it/with it? If you have a backhoe make sure to move the grey lever on the right side to neutral after each use. Pulling the 'stick' to the rear puts power to the rear hydraulic valves in 'a' position and pushing the lever to the floor puts them in 'b' position. Not having an implement on the rear that runs off the rear remotes and having the lever in either 'a' or 'b' position will burn out the hydraulic pump- (which no one wants to have happen).Look for the thread that refers to this, (recent/ongoing); this is a place you don't want to be- ever....

Hope this helps, enjoy your new tool!

I just put my 65th hour on mine and I'm still lovin' it! I highly recommend getting your tires loaded. Mine aren't but will be by the end of the week. I have noticed the strain on my front end it's starting to worry me. I haven't pushed it too much, but I plan on moving a lot of dirt this summer.
I am sure you will be happy with your new purchase. Just listen to the guys on here and post often. You will learn some great secrets from their years of experience. This is a great site and an indespensible tool for us.
Good luck and post some pics!
