New EA Grapple on my L5740

Had the third function valve installed over the weekend and used the grapple for an hour or so today. Impressed with the build quality and will certainly help on upcoming land clearing projects. I think at this point I can offer my thumbs up on the unit!

Looks good. How does the machine handle having the tines in the ground pulling roots and small stumps?

Getting the angle correct is key. Works well on pulling out small stumps but haven't tried on anything large. roots are a piece of cake. I don't have enough experience with it for much more comment than that, but I can tell you that compared to trying to do the same work with a bucket, the difference is night a and day. Especially, picking up roots, downed trees and stumps. The time savings is going to be tremendous.....

Congrats I was always told unless you have a FEl and 4wd you don't know what you missing. I think a grapple should be included in that statement enjoy

Where did you add the control switch for the valve for the grapple? Did it just stack on to the hydro block in the back?

I have been thinking of adding a grapple bucket, but was wondering if a guy could add a switch to the existing lever for the loader?

Make sure you scope the size of boulders relative to the width of the grapples opening, easy to get big ones stuck...
