The CGI block is going to be built to handle the power, doesn't matter what the displacement is if the block is capable and built for the output.

That's exactly what I was thinking. If they do what they claim and are very dependable there would seem to be no reason they couldn't be used on other 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks as well medium duty trucks. My gut feeling is they are more of a sports car engine in a pickup. Which is perfect as the vast majority of pickups these days live an easy life compared to years past.

Not many sports car engines make their full tq at 3000 rpm's. What I think is stupid is the Tacoma and GM twins V6 engines making MORE hp than tq. That's exactly like a car.

I'm just curious to see if they can maintain that performance long term. If they can then the sky is the limit for applications from cars, suv's, pickups, and medium and HD trucks.

It's one of those things that almost seems too good to be true but I am constantly amazed at what modern technology can accomplish. Props to Ford for being on the cutting edge of this technology.
