I must say what a wealth of knowledge everyone is. The past few weeks has been an education for me. So I'll throw a couple of questions at you. Does anyone have any dealer recomendations in the New England area? And also. I know that buskets on backhoes can be changed for either larger or smaller, does it work the same on FEL's?

If you go the kubota website you can plug your zip code in and they will find the nearest dealer. Right now I'm dealing with Mears Tractor in Plaistow NH on a L3010HST. They have a big selection of tractors and let you take them out to play. I'm bouncing prices back from Chappell Tractor in Milford NH to get the best deal. I plan on taking a trip up there either this weekend or next. Hope this helps

I've been doing the same - learning quite a bit about tractors.

I'm in southern New England and have found in the CT and Western MA area, prices are generally the same, about a 10% discount on list price.

I have also checked at Tractor Smart, Carver, and Keys, and they all seem to be 15% off list.

There was one place in CT that seemed to be a better deal than most, which was Woodbridge Tractor.

Hope this info helps!

Buckets do come in various sizes and weights. Regular duty, heavy duty, snow buckets... each has its tradeoff so you need to think about the main type of bucket work you will be doing, and go with the one that suits your purposes best.

I'll also very strongly recommend Woodbury Tractor in Woodbury CT. Where you'll get arrogance and a salesman at most "dealerships" you'll get a guy (Rob) who knows tractors at Woodbury. He's also a damn good mechanic. 203-266-4845

I PURCHASED MY 2710 AT WOODBURY TRACTOR. VERY GOOD DEAL, VERY GOOD SERVICE. (HE PREFERES TO BE CALLED ROBERT)

Sorry to all about the "Woodbury" vs. "Woodbridge"!

Didn't have my first cup yet when I posted!

RIRICH,
Is RI for Rhode Island? If yes, Conecticut is closer than our VT dealers. If you're elsewhere in NE, let me know.

I got my B2710,FEL, & Woods BH from Chappel Tractors in
Milford,NH. Free delivery to CT and more money than was
quoted by Carver....but this dealership has been in NH
for about 40 yrs. and i was impressed with the operation.
They'll be there if I need them.Very knowledgeable and
helpful sales staff. Good Luck
