This New Equipment was built by myself in the spirit of the John Deere image. I have been a happy owner of a 2305 since 2005. So the theme should be obvious... We live in Wisconsin and with the many friends and family that we know with kids, I made this project with the kids in mind. Many thanks to everyone that helped me in this project. The skis, pogo struts and cross member from Brent. The welding of the square tubing frame the Culvers. The H.D. sidecar from a purchase 2 summers ago up north. The seat is a local Farm&Fleet purchase, also other misc stuff...... This is to be pulled behind Nancy's Yamaha snowmobile, and so far it has been far and away better than I had ever planned. So far the sleigh has been a hit with everyone!!!!!

That looks pretty cool. I bet they have had a ball riding in it. Good job putting it together!

Great Job, I was looking for a sidecar shell to make a trailer for the Ultra. Did you strip it from a whole sidecar or where did you find the shell?

Hey fitzi, don't let John Deere see that!! They might try and steal it to patent it!!! :) Great job though! Like Wildbill said, I bet the kids have a blast riding in it. Heck, I think I would even have fun riding in it!!! ;)

I found the tub on ebay. you can usually find a decent deal on an old tub under $500. I paid $300 for that one. The paint had mostly been over come by spider cracks that happen over time. A guy that works at the local Napa that I go to said not to strip it down and repaint, but to get the WHITE rock guard paint that they sell and use that as the base, then paint over that. The rock guard is for under the doors and such and has silicone in it and some rubber material in it so it has some give to it. I just used the JD yellow and didnt even sand it out and it seems fine? Thanks Fitz

Wow! :)

Back in the early 70's Bombardier sold sleds for their Ski-Doo snowmobiles but yours looks better and way more comfortable than those ever were.
