- Ford 961, 8N, JD BO Lindeman, Caterpillar TwentyTwo, David Bradley and 6 lawn tractors
Hi All,
Looks like a great bunch here, full of knowledge, experience and some other stuff
My first tractor was a 1940s Case VAC. Picked up some David Bradley garden tractors and a Gibson with tiller steering. Since then got a Ford 961 and 8N. Also a JD Lindeman and Cat 22. The past few years I have also been acquiring lawn tractors (JD, Sears, Bolens) to fix up and for the 8 yr old grand son to start out on.
Recently looked at an International Harvester 2504 Industrial diesel with IH 3000 FEL and IH 3121 BH, no leaky hoses but definitely exposed to sun and weather since the 60s. Tires are inflated but bald and 3100 hours on meter. It Has been sitting a few years, but everything is straight and the cylinders are still nice and shiny and smooth. Guy is disposing his brothers estate said he would take 1.5 G for it as it sits, which seems reasonable to me. Thinking of all the things I can do with a backhoe, but don't know anything about this tractor. Anyways going to see if the 188 diesel will turnover tomorrow. Happy tractoring!
