Kubota B7800, and B6100
Hello to all. I have been a reader of the forums for about a year but just joined today. I have found the info/advice to be very useful. I have about 10 acres of property to play on and about half is timber. I use my dads old B6100 purchased in 1978 and my new Kubota B7800 i got about 3 years ago. I installed a grapple on the bucket shortly before our area was hit by a huge wind storm which took out about half my trees. The grapple has been great in helping clean up the mess. I just recently purchased a Kubota RTV 500 for me and the Granddaughter to play on. I'm semi-retired and enjoy playing on my property. All for now. I look forward to learning more from you all.

Where at in NW oregon? I am over just west of Rainier. I envy those with grapples. I have about half in forested areas as well. The previous owner really let this place go. I probably have 10 rears of small to medium felled stuff as well as what I take down and trim as well. I did not even know what a grapple was when i bought my tractor a couple of weeks ago. I would have got one wh.en I dumped the load for the Tractor, Tiller, Hog, and box.

I'm in the Knappa area. I purchased the grapple thru Watkins in longview. My wife and I installed it. Probably took about 6 hours fiddle farting with it. Also installed the tooth bar at the same time. Has quick connects on the hydraulics in case you ever wanted to remove it. Is bolted down to the bucket, not welded. Really works well. After the big storm, I was bucking logs into 8-12 foot lengths and hauling them out to a cold deck to work on later. Limbs and brush hauled to fire and dumped. Small pecker poles 6-8 in. diameter would go out at 12 foot lengths and larger (probably up to 15 in. as 8 foot lenght. I also made a balance box to mount on the three point that was simply plastic culvert with a 3/4 in steal shaft centered and filled with concrete. Cheap and helps alot. I will try and post pics of it when i can.
