I just replaced the front tires on my c225. I got 540 pretty tough hours out of them. Anyone else done it yet? I scored and found some blems on Ebay for $95 each shipped. Bobcat was about $190 each and they were cheaper than anyone else.

I have 176 hours on mine, and I just noticed on Wed that my fronts were looking a little worn, as I was surprised because the rears do not look worn at all

I have 591hrs and my backs still have the the molding marks on them, the fronts are still very good too! I just went out and took these photos the first few photos are my fronts and the last few are my back tires.

yea mine are considerably better than yours, but since I have a lot less hours I would expet them to be.
I meant in regards to the relationship between the fronts and the back, the back tires look almost new, whre the fronts have all the mold ridges worn off

When I do replace these, I'm going to go with wider fronts like flotation R4's. Though I have been in some pretty soupy ground brush hogging, these still have gone right through. I'm betting the fronts will last over 1000hrs. I know with backhoes, we replace the fronts twice, then for the third set we replace the front and back.

I happened to look at my fronts today, before reading this, and noticed mine are showing signs of scuffing wear but they will probably rot off before wearing too smooth. 1-1/2 year old and not quite to second engine oil change yet. Fronts will wear faster than rears even on 2 wheel drives just because of wear when sterring, but the amount of time spent in 4wd will add to it. Fronts rotate faster than the rears, so amount of time 4wd drive is engaged will affect the wear. I don't worry about it though, I am always in 4wd but have no reason to run on the road.
If and when the time comes to replace the fronts, like Catdazer mentioned I will probably look for some R4s that are close to same circumfrence as the R1s I have. Love the R1 on back but a little wider tire up front would be nice.

Mine were rounded off quite a bit. They also had several cuts on the sides. I think I had 3 0r 4 plugs between them. They had lost a good bit of pulling ability. It was just time to go. I bushog lots for the county as well as local builders. You never know what you are going to find.

It's best to replace them now than later. With all the plugs have you thought maybe about foam filled fronts? I found a picture of the flotation R4s, I think this will help a lot with loader work!

Those tires look interesting. I run R4's but are those wider than most? I'm not having much luck searching for super float or floatation R4's. Anyone have a link?

Also will they fit the stock rims?
