Hi all. I just bought a galvanized utility trailer and on the way home I had to drive on a gravel road that they had just graded and sprayed calcium chloride. I had planned to wash the guck off the trailer when I got home but I forgot and today when I went out I noticed some pretty bad pitting on the trailer where the road grime had splashed up on it. I washed most of it off but there is definite pitting and I want to fix it along with preventing any further issues.
What do you all think about this? Of course I will be calling the trailer vendor, but I have 2 other friends who have bought from this dealer and their trailers are fine even after a few years, it's just me with the issue so I can only conclude it would be the calcium chloride (neither of my buddies live in the country and they don't have to deal with the stuff).
Any thoughts?
