Buying Advice New GC1720 TLB finally delivered

My GC1720 was finally delivered a few days ago! Already used the backhoe to dig out some stumps.

I got it for $18,200 delivered to my house and 0% financing for 72 months. I also got a Massey branded box blade and a Massey branded 4' rotary cutter that I paid cash for.

You dont see too many pics of Massey GC1720s on here, so here are a couple of pics at the dealer and one with me on it after it just got unloaded in front of my barn.

Just curious . . When you were deciding . . what were your impressions of the gc1710 versus gc1720 ?

By the way . . I like how you attached your pictures . . they come thru nice on cpu and phone.

Nice!! ... a big congrats on the new tractor. I have the same question AxleHub does- I'm curious if you found the GC 1720's seat better than the GC 1710's and if the increased power of the GC 1720 over the GC 1710 is something you actually can notice.

I really did not even consider the GC1710. I was comparing the 25 horse Kubota BX, the Mahindra MAX 25, and the Deere 1025, all 25 hp models. I figured with the slight difference in cost I may as well get the more powerful tractor.

I did not like the Mahindra at all, loader paint color was a different color red than the tractor red color. That would drive me crazy. Also looked like paint was fading already. Just did not feel "quality."

I liked the Deere a lot, and the a John Deere dealer is 4 miles away. However, the local dealers were between 3 and 5k more than the Massey. Not worth that.

I liked the Kubota as well, and the dealers here quoted the exact same price as the Massey. I liked the double lift cylinders on the loader on the Massey, and the seat on the Kubota was not the greatest. I also like that the three point hitch just folds up on the Massey, you have to take it off on the Kubota. Also, in the future, the MMM deck can be driven over on the Massey. Kubota had the roll under with casters style.

Some of the other tractors like LS or Kioti look good, but my closest dealers for those are over 200 miles away.
