New German from the Philippines

My name is Alex, I am a retired automotive engineer. And I married a farmers daughter from the Philippines and live on their farm now. And take care of the machinery. We have an old Kubota 2002 3 cylinder tractor, 2 single axle hand tractors, one with a watercooled Kubota and one with a 16 HP Briggs & Stratton. And we have one more 16 HP Briggs & Stratton on a dresher. And I have a little homebuid car with a 25 cc motorcycle engine.
And I have a 16 HP M.C. KAWASAKI ( M.c. Kawasaki Diesel Engine 16 Hp - Brand New For Sale Philippines - 68204572 ) installed in a small boat. This engine is a yanmar clone, but the label says it ist not made in China, but in Japan. M.C. Kawasaki has nothing to do with kawasaki heavy industries, I found this out. But I can not find out who this M.C. Kawasaki is and I dont find this enginge anwere in the net except with some dealers in the Philippines. Did anybody of you hear about this engnines?

And, please excuse my bad english, my spelling program corrects only german.

I dont know wherter it worked to attach an ohther picture, the first one shows the boat wirt a 5 HP outboard, because I hit a stone and the shaft was bent.

To the site. So how did you wind up in the Philippines and when did you get there? Which auto company did you work for?

It is warmer and cheaper in the Phiippines than in Germany, and my wife is Filipina. So, when I retired 2 Years ago, I mover here. My last job was for Johnson Controls, designing safty staff. befor for FEV, designing eninges. US Air Force? as what? I just had dinner wit a friend who was a fighter pilot there. But sad, he is duing the usual thing of foreners here, killing himself with alcohol. And not to do this, I spend my time duing other crasy things like building cars and boats.

Sorry to hear about your friend. He was probably stationed at Clark AFB and went back to relive the "Good Old Days" as too many do. In the early years was an Engine Manager and then when sent to Nam was a crew member on C130s. Later was in IT as everything from a programmer to Chief of Systems Control.
