I am looking for a little guidance for a reconditioning project. I know nothing about this machine or Gravely for that matter. I once read a Gravely newsletter and was intrigued. I purchased an LS Gravely and I would like to either restore it or at least recondition the machine. I searched online and found Richard's in WV and immediately ordered the five "books" (parts, manuals, catalog and other.) The Gravely does not run or at least I cannot start it. The choke and throttle cables are bent and broken, the carburetor looks like it needs some help and it looks to have an oil leak(s) from a few spots. It does not look abused but I would imagine there are a lot of mechanical things to address. I have a myriad of questions and while I am waiting for my materials form Richard's (should come today) and without writing a long dissertation, Where do I begin? How do I know if I have a low pressure or high pressure oil system? Thank you.
