Yep you are in the right place... might want to post your DIY in the Build it yourself forum but do check out the Project forum for a lot of good advice based on experience.

Welcome here... I really enjoy the help!

Justin - Thanks for your service!

There are a lot of very skilled individuals here on the site. Somebody here has most likely done it, seen it or helped do it for somebody else.

My suggestion would be to throw your initial thoughts/questions out and let the discussion/ideas begin.

For example: Are you 100% set on a metal building? Do you plan on having it built or building yourself? Will it be a dual purpose structure (ie living quarters and shop/garage/etc)?

Are you thinking of a pole barn (wood skeleton) with metal siding or complete metal structure? What are you thinking of in terms of heat/cooling?

These are just some starters. Plenty more questions out there. Welcome to the site and thanks again.

Sir, THANK YOU for your service. This is a great forum with many knowledgeable people. Have fun looking around and searching the forums.

Any questions just post them up, someone will have the answer or be able to point you in the right direction. If you are interested in a pole barn check out my thread, the link to it is in my signature below.

Welcome to TBN!

Thank you very much for your service Marine!! Good luck on your build...this group will support you all the way. There is always someone on here with a helpful answer to your questions.

What are you going to school for? I did the same thing when I got out of the Navy...just took me a few years to get there.

Thanks,
Rob
