i've found owning a tractor that a 3/4 gun was near minimum anymore and a 1" was nice. the 3/8 gun hasn't been used in a decade.. and the half inch gun only does rider lawnmower blades..![]()
Yep, a 3/4 is almost a must for tractoring. But I must confess, I dont even own one:confused2: On my wish list though.
But I do have a 1/2" IR2135TiMAX. And for a light (very light) 1/2 drive, it is impressive. I have no reservations about tightening my blade bolts with it. And if it wont break something loose, ya need the 3/4 with 4' pipe and about all the strength you have. And sometimes an even longer pipe.
Infact, the ONLY time it has let me down was the stumpjumper bolt on my 306 cutter. I wanted to go through the gearbox just because. But the impact wouldnt do it. But then again, neither would a 2' pipewrench with a 10' pipe on in. Literally, the pipe was 10' long. So I said forget it. It will get cut off if/when I ever really need to.
