- Ford 1100 2wd w/FEL and other attachments
Hello all
New to the forums but not new to tractors
Although not a farm owner, I have grown up around and worked on a a few over the years.
I currently have a Ford 1715 4x4 and a Ford 1100 2wd both W/FEL
Picked up the obviously always stored indoors 1715 with around 600 hours on a broken meter about five years ago at an estate sale for about half the market value simply because
nobody else was interested in it.
Just picked up the 1100 from a Widow that said it had a stuck motor or something like that and it hadn’t run in years. I payed scrap value of $100.00 for it. After a little tinkering I discovered that it was not a stuck motor but a stuck starter motor!!!
Pulled starter apart and found more grease and gook than I’ve ever seen get inside of a starter motor !!!
Hooked jumper cables to it, cranked it over enough to bleed the injectors and I have a fine running machine!!
It leaks from every HYD CYL it has but that’s easy enough to fix.
Just wondering if anyone has service manuals for the two Fords that they
would be willing to share so I can do a proper maintenance on them, mainly the valve adjustment.
BTW
Looking for a set of rear wheels for the 1100. Both rotted out around the valve stems. I think it was or may still be loaded with calcium.
Found new ones online but I’m sure we can find a set for a lot less than the price of new.
Only need one rear wheel for the 1715 for the same reason
Thanks to all for any feedback
