New here, new to me model 365 zero turn, hydro probs?

I purchased a used CC 365 zero turn with about 900hrs. It drove ok, maybe needs a fuel pump and some new gas, but no blatant leaks...

I got it home, test drive it in my yard, seems alright... got it stuck in some mud, finagle around, get it out. now its leaking hydro from the RH unit I think, cant tell where yet...

I'm so disheartened, thought I got a deal... might have got taken.

I'm going to top off the hydraulic oil, make sure theres no air in the system, if it's still leaking, attempt to locate leak... if I cant, my plan is to pull that drive out, maybe..... ugh :(

To the forum Tedious. We are glad that you joined.

Congrats on the CC but sorry to hear about the leak.

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

Don't be too disheartened until you've had a crack at it... At 900hrs and unknown maintenance history it may be a simple matter of tightening all of the connections (and nuts, bolts, etc...) + new filters and oil. 900hrs of vibration and use will take its toll, especially if nothing has been done except 'change the engine oil/filter' since first run.

Enjoy the site.

Thanks for the thoughts guys, it does look like a less than optimally maintained machine.... I'm going to replace the filters and oil, hydro belt and adjust it... I'll report back after I put some oil in it as its low, and test drive it again....

Soo, after topping it off and replacing fuel pump... seems we have a leak in the outer drive housing in the RH side... assuming gasket ot some yamabond, or permatex aircraft gasket maker?

Tedious,

Why not go around the case of that hydro and see if all of the bolts/nuts are tight. Might just need a snugging down to stop the leak. Worth a try?

That's a good plan, I'll get the torque wrench out and hit em all, maybe lady luck be on my side ;)
