Been looking at this site for a week now and think its just great..........I own a brand new 5420 MFWD with FEL, deluxe iso cab and a 4700 with FEL and BH also a 6 ft JD bush hog and a JD M665 Z-track... So as you can tell I like JD equipment .......This is a great site and I look forward to continue surfing on TBN.

I've got almost the same tractors. I just got a 5420 MFWD with the cab and I've got a 4600 with MFWD, FEL, and backhoe. Nice pieces of equipment. Hope you like yours as much as I like mine.

Thanks for the welcome....Looks like cowboydoc and I are doing the same type of farming.. I make hay (square and round) for horses and black Angus cattle... The 5420 is a truely impressive piece of equipment , I looked at every make on the market at the Empire Farm Days show and nothing compares to the JD 5420 MFWD w/cab.. The 4700 is a great all purpose utility unit for raking and hauling wagons, plowing snow, brush hogging the hunting trails etc etc etc......A true heavy duty ready for anything I can throw at it machine...

Welcome, We have a 5420 MFWD, isolated staion, power reverser tranny, FEL, and we wish we had a cab.
We also have a 4310 ehydro. Both are great machines!
Please feel free to offer any stories and such!
We are here in south central Texas and waiting for cooler weather. There is plenty of hay available down here right now. $30/bale is the going rate...Kyle
