We always had the local NH mechanic come fix ours. Now they are a long ways away! I find most often replacing the sweep arm/knife and or bll hook fixes most problems. Make sure the needle is coming up in tolerance and the twine disc is not to tight. It actually should allow the twine to pull just a little. I've seen that leaf spring on the twine disc turned down flat. Not good. Needs resistance on the twine coming out of the twine box. Manuals should solve problems - experience will.
