If you dont get anything here try 'implement alley' on ytmag. Theres usually a good amt of info on most things there. If not ask and I sure someone will answer.

Well you could take a 479 and cut 2' out of the center. That would give you a 7' mower. It would take about 1.5 less hp to run it over the 479, but that's your call. I've seen guys do this after hanging it up on a stone (boulder actually).

Still won't fit in your car garage, if that's what you were thinkin'....

Another thing I've seen that impressed me was to hang just the header off the front end loader frame and run it hydraulically. That takes some heft because of the weight. With a quick-attach interface , that would be a very practical set up for the right weight of a modern tractor with the right hydraulic system.

Hmm, hanging it off the front. That is a neat idea... I don't like the hydraulics part but the front mount...

Well you have to powerup the gearbox for the reel, rollers, and wobble drive. To do this in the simplest fashion, run hoses out to it. Hand the motor off the end of the main drive gearbox. The hoses go nicely along the loader frame.

Then you have the poor man's version of a 1461, 1479, or 1499 mower conditioner.
