Anyone run an old NH 462 disc mower? Good service out of it? Perform well? My neighbor has one he's trying to sell and I'm considering it as a backup mower. He has replaced all bearings and seals, blades, belt, and tarp. New paint. 1 year warrenty. $3000. He's a former Ford/NH mechanic/parts guy so he should know what he's doing. I know the 462s are the old "common fluid" or "hollow" design. Not the segment design like the new ones. But it does have helicial cut gears which are said to be stronger and quiter than straight cut gears. I don't really need the machine but that sounds like a good price for a rebuilt machine. Any thoughts?
