new holland 650 not tying

I have a New Holland 650 round baler with auto wrap on it and it will not tie the arms will not go back to home position when I hit the manual trip lever it does noting any suggestions ?

check the little roller that is under the trip plate assy. i just worked on one that was having the same problem and all it was is the roller was froze up because there is no way to grease it your best bet would be to check that and most likely if that is the problem i would change the plate and roller to the new style i would also check the bushing in the pully for slack and change them while working in that area

Would that have anything to do with the trip lever when you trip the lever it will not come back up you have to push it up?

yes if that plate is wore at it will be loose and not catch when it comes around

The plate you are talking about is the one that moves when you hit your trip lever right or is it another one ?
