Mowing New Holland 914A Mid Mount Mower

I bought a used New Holland 914A mid mount mower from my local NH dealer to use with my NH TC18 tractor. After about 3 hours of installing it, I realized the mounting brackets that are supposed to go over the lower ball of the lift arms (at the lower link pin, I suppose) are too wide for the lower link pin. When I put them on the lower link pin, there is not enough room to insert a pin to hold the assembly in place. I took the brackets back to the dealer where I bought the mower, but they could not help me. Does anyone know if there is a special mounting bracket for the TC tractors to use this mower? All of the other brackets fit great and I have mowed several hours with it already, I just can't lift the deck when I need to. Any help would be appreciated!

I would go back to the dealer and tell him to get you the right mounts. The decks are all the same but each tractor has different mounts and your dealer should be able to get you the right ones. If he doesn't help you tell him to give you your money back.

I installed the same deck on my tc21d and if I understand you correctly the lower lift pins for the 3pt do need to be changed out so the brackets over the 3pt arms can be locked into place. The pins bolt directly to the rear end of the tractor with 2 bolts.
My deck was new and came with the new longer pins. Appears when they took the deck off the original tractor they forgot to remove the longer pins and reinstall the originals.

I am do not know what the new longer length is but the dealer should be able to find these for you.

I figured there must be a longer pin available, but the dealer could only find one pin for the tractor. The pin would work if it were about 1/2 inch longer. I put a message on Corriher's site to see if they could find one. Thanks for the help!
