Ralph,

With All Due Respect; (Feeling helpful I am? :) )

If indeed that was my only reply you might find it less than inviting
and perhaps on an extreamly unpersonal and almost rude level would you not?
Although TBN (tractorbynet) is full of knowledgeable folks whom are willing
and able to help you, you will be hard pressed to get full usage of this board
unless you add quite a bit more to your posts. Pretend like your friends
and your talking to your friends, if you just blerted out ;

folks will go HUH? Using capital letters and periods / proper grammer will
go far as well Ralph! Maybe something like;

Hello,

I own a New Holland 575 Baler and darn it if it will only
tie on one side and and it also will not cut, does anyone have
any suggestions for me on how to fix this please?

This is your very first post and you did it in the new member introductions area.
This area is where you will say HELLO! Pretend like your talking to
a group of guys...maybe like this.

Hi,

My name is Ralph and I drive a Malone tractor on over 100 acres
in (this state) and I am having some issues w/ my 575 baler. I
will post up a question about my problem in the New Holland
section of this forum.
(Ralph there are many sections of this
forum, you have to post in the correct section for best results. )

Now you look up at the top of this page and you need to click on
HOMEPAGE, when you get to the home page scroll down till you
see Forum: New Holland/Ford
Here, I will help you, if
you CLICK HERE you will go to the NEW HOLLAND AREA. Once there
read things and select the best area to pose your question and
ask it there...

Ralph,

You can get a email any time someone replys to you if you
set your preferences correctly, if you scroll down and click
on GO ADVANCED, then scroll down till you see;

Subscribe to this thread and notify me of changes:

Right next to that add a check to the little box...
Now you will get an email anytime someone replys
but I think you only get on email then you have to vist the
thread before you get another notification...I may'be wrong here...

The 575 operator's manual gives detailed knotter troubleshooting and a step-by-step list of knotter adjustments that need to be carried out IN THE LISTED ORDER. This is your first, best resource. Sounds like you have a broken, bent, missing, or dull twine knife for starters. if you need to purchase a OP manual, you can purchase publication #87533181 in hard copy or pdf download here:

My way of working on a knoter is just take your time and study it. One side is working, look for something different on the side that don't work. Look back and forth, take your time and often you can spot the problem, and Welcome to TBN.
