Re: New Holland - Choosing the Right Tractor for Y

Interesting. I answered their questions as accurately as I could. They recommended the TC29D, TC 30 and the TC 33D. I got my TC29D 2 weeks ago. Eerie.

They must have done their research. I, too, answered honestly, maybe even a little optimistically. They recommended TC18, 21D or 24D. I passed 100 hours on my TC18 a couple of days ago.

I did mine and it was TC 29,30,33. Been looking at the 33D,35D and the 40D. I think bigger is better /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I did the survey and the final choice always depended upon the last question for me: Front-End Loader Work. If I chose <750lbs I got TC18,21,24. If I chose 751-1500lbs I got TC29,30,33. Finally selecting 1501-2000 yielded TC35,40,45. Unfortunately, that last question was the only one that I guessed the answer, I'm not sure how much I need to lift.

boy that worked pretty darn good. It selected the TC29D first pick and that is what I have. Now I don't feel like I bought too big.

Course the second option was the TC30 and theTC33D. Maybe I should think bigger??? NOT /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Amazing /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif It picked out the TC18 for me. Except it listed 4wd as optional. My TC18 would be about worthless for anything except mowing & light FEL work without it.

John,

Pretty neat.
I answered the questions and it says I need a TC40D.
But then again mowing 90 acers was not one of the possible responses for some reason.....

I keep swaying between the 33D and the 40D.

Using the tool I could change the class with the loader weight necessary. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif So the tool also sways between the two. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Oh well, back to test drives /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
