New Holland filter prices!

Getting ready for my 600 hr service so I picked up all the filters and oils at the dealer. Compared to the last service, everything went up a little bit here and there, everything does. But the outer air filter for my TC-24D goes up over $10 every time I buy one. $46 and tax! In 2006 it was $23 and 2008 it was $35. I had forgotten that I bought one last year after a dusty job, might not need replacing just yet.

I'm all for supporting the dealer, they have been great. But I'm not sure if I should stock up on a lifetime supply for fear of $100 filters in a few years or find an aftermarket brand of reasonable price!!

Check into Wix filters. They make a types of filters that fit New Holland tractors. They will be more reasonable than New Holland.

Just like someone else mentioned, Wix covers most applications. If you are having a hard time finding a cross reference into wix, call a NAPA dealer. The napa filters are wix, just a different prefix on the numbers. In all my years working on equiptment I think only once I was not able to cross a number over to a NAPA number. Very good coverage. I'll second a visit to your local Napa store. Around here they run 1/2 price sales on filters in the spring and fall. I stock up on filters for all my equipment and vehicles at that time. I can't get a hydraulic filter for the tractor and a couple of filters for my Deere mini-x at Napa, but they have everything else.
