With the help of another TBN member I was able to find a plug that fits the grill guard on the TC40DA perfectly.

We found the plugs at Caplugs.com. I was referred to their nice folks at the Minneapolis distributor who gave me four free samples. I tried to purchase the plugs but they normally sell in quantities of 1000 or more.

I don't know if they would provide any more free samples or not but they did not appear to want to sell in such small quantities. I suspect the paper work and labor to hand pick 4 caplugs, package and mail when the cost is probably about 50 cents is not worth the touble.

I've attached a couple of pictures. I don't know if you can see the plugs very well but they are a perfect fit.

Pretty neat way to dress up your grill guard! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Can you maybe furnish the Cap-plugs part number? Maybe I can get lucky and locate a vendor with the proper numbers that will sell plugs without a minimum order of 1000.

Pine Ridge, the part # is BPF-1 for the grill guard plug. I don't think the pictures show it very well but the plug is a perfect fit.

Terry thanks for the quick response. I'll look around a bit and see what I can find.

Maybe this will help. Read your post the other day when looking for info on grille guards for New Holland tractors and after getting my guard (NH OEM) I found the plug to fit it a Lowes. There 1" and fit perfect. They are in the bolt and screw section in one of the specialty drawers at Lowes. My guard is on my TC33DA and not sure if there are any differences in size as you move up in tractor size.

TCowner; The plugs are nice, anything to plug those holes are better than nothing. When I got my TC35DA, I had a bud weld the ends closed. I thought he did a very nice job. All I had to do was a little loader work for him and he did the rest. This bumper was on my TC35 also, just kept it when I got the DA. This photo isn't the best, but It should give you ideas. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'll bet it wouldn't be too hard to smear a little body filler (Bondo) in the ends, finish it off with sandpaper, and paint to match either.

Mike; Good point, but that would've been the easy way. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have a new tt45a and a friend of mine is making a grill guard very similar to this one. Can you tell me what size the tubes used on this one are? I see the inside must be 1 inch. not sure what the outside size is. Thanks so much for the help.
