New Holland TK100M
I bought a New Holland TK100, which is a 100 hp crawler and was built in 2009, and I have a Rears 3 point flail mower. From what I can tell the hydraulic levers on my crawler are the same as on all NH tractors, wheel tractors included. I have the operators manual for the TK100 and I go to the hydraulic lift section. Where I am having the problem is the area that talks about fast raise/lower control. One is a switch that is supposed to raise the 3 point, the other is a push button that is supposed to lower the 3 point to working height. I want to raise the equipment at the end of the row in order to make a turn, but not too high because it puts too much angle on my drive line. Then I want to lower it once I make the turn to my working height. Then there are position control and draft control levers that has something to do with adjustments. The only thing I can get to work is the position control lever. The operators manual clearly states "do not use the position and draft control levers to raise or lower impliments, as this will change the previously set operating conditions." I keep going over all the information but nothing seems to work. I checked transmission fluid levels and had to add fluid, but that did not help. I am new to 3 point tractors and equipment so any help would be appreciated.

thanks in advance,
Dick

I have something similar on my TD95D. So look for an adjustment on the right hand side of the rock shaft where the lift link attaches.

I don't understand the instruction about not using the position or draft control levers. What the heck are they for if you are not supposed to use them? What I think they mean is either use the levers or the auto lift but don't use them at the same time.

The way I read it is once you have the levers adjusted for how far you want to lift up and your working height, do not use those levers after that because they are at a set position, just use the up and down buttons.

This sounds like typical NH! We have a (much older) Fiat New Holland 50-86, which also has the quick 3pt hitch raise / lower function in addition to draft and position control. Like yourself we can set depth, but to date I have found no way (other than adjusting the lift rods) of setting the height when raised - when using the PTO we have to rememer to manually lift the hitch using the position control, and if we forget to remind a new operator we can say goodbye to the PTO shaft (it's happend more times than I like to admit)!

If you do find a control, please let us know what it looks like and where it is - you never know they may even have thought about it when ours was built!

Dicj,

Here's a picture of the right side of the rockshaft on my TD95D. there is some feedback linkage that goes to the 3 pt hitch controls that can be adjusted to set the automatic lift range. See if your three point has this.
