I have a New Holland TC30 and I want to replace a light bulb behind the instrument panel (the glow plug indicator light). So I removed the screws holding the gauge panel in, and pulled that out as far as I could, found out I also had to take off a piece of the sheet metal between the engine and the hood, and maybe some sheet metal on the side(s), and/or maybe take the steering wheel off to pull the gauge cluster out farther, and then maybe disassemble the gauge cluster some more. Am I missing something, or did they really make it this difficult to change a stinking light bulb in the instrument panel? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I don't remember taking off the steering wheel . But Yes, some of the sheet metal does need to come off I seem to remember . Been awhile since I had mine apart . so not really sure exactly " What " has to come off . FYI : Pulling the battery is quite Fun also .
