New Holland Oil Filter for 2015 Boomer 37

I just got a 2015 New Holland Boomer 37 compact tractor and am in the process of changing some of the filters out so I start fresh. I see an oil filter for the NH but it is 28.00. I read somewhere that a Wix would also work. Anyone know which Wix would work, or other filter that is a bit cheaper than 28.00.

The NH filter number is MT40283380 but cannot seem to find a cross check that would be cheaper than 28.00.

Might save a few bucks with non-OEM parts but for oil filters, air filters, hydraulic filters and other critical cleaning elements it's not wise money saved.

Good point fried....so...any ideas of a cross sectional filter?

Looks like a captive part for now.You'll just have to get from the dealer.
The Hyd & Trans filters on my tractor are captive and can only get from a dealer.

Few of us would believe that. But some of us believe OEMs control the specs their branded filters are built to. And they have zero control over aftermarket filters and half assed cross reference charts.

I found a Massey dealership here that claims they have a NH filter for 19.00....will check it out. As important as an oil filter is I don't want to risk screwing up the engine.
