- Yanmar 2700 & New Holland L783 Skid
I have an L783 New Holland skid steer. Yesterday it started normally, but as soon as I released the locking break the left side started pulling even though the handle was in the neutral position. I pulled back on it and it stopped but if i let go or moved it to the center it took off again. When pulling back to stop it, it made a grinding sound - (nothing unusual for this machine ) it would stop moving, then in a couple of seconds it would take off in reverse and even though the engine was idling it would jump quickly like I had the stick pulled all the way back when it was only maybe 1/3 back.
I have a lift cylinder that leaks ( order a seal kit Thursday
so I had checked the fluid and it was a little low but I don't think that would cause this. I was thinking the control valve for the drive must be the problem but just wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience? Any suggestions before I start taking it apart?
Thanks
