New Holland Stackwagon

Thinking about buying a New Holland Stackwagon. Will they work good on some hilly land, SP or pull type, any other thing you people with experience with them can tell me.

man they work great regardless of the land. we had a model 1069 in the mid and late 80'2 on our dairy. it was self proppeled and woudl haul 165 bales at once. took 10 to 15 minutes to pick up a load. great machines. the pull type ones are just as handy but dont hold as much hay in a load. but they defiently save time and money and back ache......if you can afford a good used self proppeled that is the way to go. they are out there any where from $10 to $60 or a pull type from $3500 to 20,000.......if you have any questions let me know, i can help out

they are the best even better if you have a barn that is tall enough that u can dump the load in so you never have to touch a ball we have had around 4 different ones i just sold one for 2500 field ready and i have one small we still used and love it

Thanks for the info. I have talked to Tom at Roeders about a 1047 self propelled that hauls 120 bales but you have to make the tier ties manually because it doesn't have the auto tie option like the 1049 that hauls 160 bales but the dump height is higher on the 1049 and the height of the 1047 we can use existing shelters.

I've been told they don't like to behave well picking going down steep hills. We don't have many around here to watch operate so I'm not sure.
