From your first post, it did not sound like a dead battery. However, if you did not turn the key off after the no-start situation, it's probably dead now. It would be better to put a charger on the battery than to jump start it, because jumpstarting only complicates the situation that your are trying to troubleshoot. Make sure the key is turned to "off". Put a battery charger on it, and check the all the fuses. After 6 or so hours on the charger, give it a try. The next step would be to use a meter to look for power at the small wire to the solenoid while turning the key to "start".
