I have TC33d with FEL and 3pt hitch backhoe with pto pump. I would like to use the tractor hydraulics and get rid of the pto pump is this possible. I would also like to be able to run a 3rd function to the FEL for saw or post puller trying to get rid of some shrubs and undergrowth

Yes. For the 3rd function you need to look for the remote kit. For the backhoe you need to look for a power beyond kit. A lot of people here make their own kits since a lot of times the are just hoses and fittings, but if you want to see how the OEM does it, I would look at Messicks parts diagrams. Depending on the age of the tractor, sometimes these kits are discontinued and you can only buy the components.

If you search on here, probably on the NH section, you should find a bunch of info on it.

Not sure what 3pt backhoe you have on your TC33d, but make sure you check the backhoe specs, to see if the TC33d is able to deliver the minimum hydraulic flow gpm necessary to run the backhoe. If not keep the pto pump setup

If the TC can run the backhoe & you have rear remotes on the TC you could use those to run the BH (this is the easiest) hook up & bungee the remote lever back. If no rear remotes then a power beyond kit is the next easiest if you can find one.

If you find the kit then you can still add power beyond...
Not sure on the TC33d but your machine may have a plug threaded into the end plate where the rear remote valves stack, that should be able to be used for a power beyond return to tank line. Then you would need to get the power beyond supply line from the hydraulic manifold block where the FEL joystick power beyond port is.

Again none of this is worth 2cents if the TC can't meet the backhoe's minimum hydraulic flow gpm... So check that first...

As far as 3rd function to the FEL there are tons of kits out there... you need to decide if you want a dedicated true third function or a diverter valve 3rd function. I'm using a diverter valve system on our TC40d for a tree/post puller & a grapple & we are happy with it. I didn't see the need for a dedicated true 3rd function for our use to justify the additional expense.... but if you are going to try & run a saw or something similar you may want one...
Word of caution - make sure you check the hydraulic flow requirements for anything being constantly driven you are trying to run off a third function... Most things require more flow / pressure than our machines will supply. It's why I just did the diverter setup on ours...

As stated in post #3, my fear with using the tractor to run the BH would be a slow BH from lack of GPM. If that’s not an issue for you then the posts above have put you on the right track.

It should have enough for a 3 point hoe. I think slower is better on these machines as they tend to get broken.

And on that note to the OP, the early TC's had weaker bell housings and broke. Very expensive fix, so I would research that and if you really want a BH on the machine at all even tho it says you already have. I wouldn't put one on without a subframe.

Thanks I will check that maybe why the BH had the pump installed just pita to get it on and off. Do you have picture of your setup and maybe the link of what you bought. I am really wanting to try the tree/post puller i think i will get the under bush out better than cutting.

So with the FEL on a compact tractor you do sacrifice lift pull capacity compared to a comparable skid steer loader do to the arms being so far forward.... We knew this going in, but we use our tree/post puller for mostly brush & saplings under 3" without issue (sometimes a little operator finesse) . We also purchased a lighter weight unit to keep our pulling power at maximum; some of these units are design to pull 8" - 10"+ diameter trees so they are made of heavier steel & beefed up for that type of use & abuse, making them heavier. We knew our machine was never going to pull that size tree & had real expectations of what we were using it for, our unit weighs less than 300lbs. If we want to pull heavier / bigger stuff we have a 3 Point to Universal Quick Attach Adapter & can put the puller on the 3PT & use one of our rear remotes for the hydraulics.

For our diverter valve we purchased a unit from Trausch Dynamics based on a recommendation & have been very happy with it (except for the mounting... but it is a personal thing.... more on that in a minute)... kit is nice, unit works well, they were great to work with (answer all my questions) & it was priced right... Again this is a diverter & not a true third function...

I don't have pics of our original install which worked great but I wasn't happy with... (I seldom am & I'm sure it fine for 99.9% of people). I currently redoing the install, making a custom bracket for the diverter valve to mount to the FEL tractor mount, adding a FEL "in" handle switch I saw somewhere on here & bending up my own steel hydraulic lines to run down the loader arms (instead of hoses).... Again this is because... as my wife would say "your over thinking it"... the system did worked perfect with the diverter valve, the mount, the switch they provided & the hoses we had run down the loader arm.... Ok I am know wondering why I'm redoing it... god don't tell my wife her is right....

Anyway I'll try to get you some pics next week when I finish up the new install...
