New Holland TC33DA
Hi, Looking for some help as I am a newbie to hydraulics.

I bought a used TC33DA a few months back and it came with an almost-new Woods LS96R FEL. All Joystick operations worked fine until recently the regen (or fast dump) will not work at all. The bucket will dump, but only extremely slow!!! The float function works perfectly. Due to the amount of hours I've put on it (20) I cant really tell if the other hydraulic functions are working slower or not, but when the loader is in action I do hear the pump whine a little. I did a visual inspection and haven't come across anything drastic... I did end up tightening one fitting which had a slight leak. I restarted the tractor and cycled the FEL several times without any luck. None of the hoses are quick connect so there shouldn't be anything to troubleshoot there.

I've never changed the fluid and filter since I purchased the tractor and thought it might be my next step? Was thinking it might be to thick in the 30 degree weather? I am just hoping its not my pump going?

Has anyone experienced this before?

Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.

You might take a look at the regen parts on the bottom of the valve under the cans on the bottom of the valve.

The regen works by shutting off, or by blocking the exit port and causing the rod end flow to add to the pump flow to the base end of the cyl, therefore faster dump but at less power.

You also need to change out the filters. There may be a filter screen in the sump.

If you install a hyd gage, you can troubleshoot the hyd system.

Is your regen in the first part of the valve or the far right?

Hey J.J. - Thanks for the info. I didn't get a chance to pick up a filter and hydraulic gauge today, but will accomplish tomorrow.

I thought about this a little further and ruled out the filter attached to the sump as all other functions work, and the boom gets enough power to lift the front end off the ground. The rationale is that the fluid runs through the filter to the diverter-valve prior to reaching the control valve. I took a look at NH's part diagram and the sump doesn't contain any additional filters. I'll get a gauge tomorrow to check this theory.

The system relief setting is 2000 psi, so if the system is at full pressure and still no fast dump (with the bucket loaded).... would this only leave the spools within the control block? If I cant get full pressure.. it might be the pump?

Thanks for the support.
