New Holland Tl100a altenator smoke

hello guys ! I have one problems. My New Holland TL100A have new battery and I insert battery cable altenator smokes and dashboard refuses to turn on just day lights. engine don"t work. I don"t no what is that :/ :S

Probably connecting the battery backwards.

if you connected the battery terminals backwards you opened a big bag of worms.
look for a fuseable link to see if its open. hopefully that will fix most of the damage
