Here is the story of my 2wk old New Holland WM 65. I went to hook up to the brush mower for the first time and the 3pt would not lower. Went to the house to read the manual to see if I was missing something but thinking on my walk back to the house it's a 3pt how much simpler does it get. What a poor manual. Didn't find anything new, wasted an hour looking, went back to the tractor and started it back up again and w/o doing anything the 3pt started to lower. What the heck? Hooked up the mower and throughout the day of mowing it would lower sometimes, sometimes real slowly, and sometimes only part way, and My mower is very heavy. It worked slightly better when using the lift-o-matic thing but still not what I'm used to. Then today I noticed something. When I would push the lift-o-matic lever in to lock then push it slightly further the mower would drop every time so far, very reliably and all the way to my set position. I makes the lift-o-matic work better and when you use the position lever to raise and lower as well. That lever is connected to a small cable that runs to the back under the cab, I'm going to adjust it and will report back. The lever it pulls on, on the trany has a pretty stout spring and I can see this being a constant issue for a while as the cable stretches, adjustment will be needed. One last thing for Tractor Tech. What is the Roller Lever? I have never heard of it or that term, and I was born on a tractor in 1960.
