Hi all, I recently purchased a used New Holland Workmaster 75 with a cab and FWA. It is a 2019 model with 345 hours on it, I have put about 15 on it since I bought it.
I have noticed a very sporadic buzzing/whining noise from the hydraulic pump (at least that’s what it appears to be coming from) when the 4x4 is engaged. I comes and goes and usually starts with a directional change and can be remedied by raising/lowering rpm’s, or by simply switching the 4x4 off/on. It will do it while in motion as well as sitting still. I just changed the hydraulic filters and oil per the dealer recommendation however it did not remedy the situation. The oil was not dirty nor were the filters when I cut them open.
I can’t imagine what the 4x4 system introduces to cause this but it is definitely related to FWA being engaged. I checked all the bolts in the drive shaft shield first to eliminate vibration as a culprit and went to the dealer next for advice. All hydraulic functions work flawlessly and are very strong/responsive; I’m just baffled by this random buzzing/humming (cavitation) that comes in short spurts while in 4x4.
